Letting you know that my husband, Izab passed away on January 25th. He was first diagnosed in October 2002 so he fought prostate cancer for over 17 years. He found this forum very helpful and checked the posts most days. He really valued the support he received here. Wishing you all the best as you continue your journey with prostate cancer.

Always difficult at first , but he is now at restful peace.
Yes he is at peace. His last days were difficult but he looked so peaceful after he passed.
It always amazes me that family and spouses take the time from their own mourning to inform us here of their husband, father etc death. Although we bicker sometimes over the best way to fight this disease, it’s family bickering and we consider all fighting this disease as brothers. We care very much and feel for your loss. Thx for letting us know.

Prostate cancer was such a big part of our lives and we have received much support on this site. I think it is a natural response to share with the wider prostate cancer family.
Condolences. Can you share what may have contributed to his 17 year survival. I am just 1 1\2 years so far in my journey, and can't think about the possibility of being around that long. Although, there's always hope and new treatments on the horizon.
I am so very sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
Thank you
Thank you

I'm so sorry. I just read all of his posts. You have been a very supportive person may he rest without suffering.
Yes we walked the prostate journey together. I have many wonderful memories of a very loving husband despite his illness.
Sending prayers of peace and connection that your supports will hold you and carry you.
Thanks for sharing. I am inspired by you and your husbands journey and hope you find some sense of support from this group of people coping through their journeys. Be sure to care for yourself, and let others care for you too!
Thank you for your prayers. They are much appreciated.
Alway so sad to hear that another warrior has lost the battle with the monster. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes he was a warrior, brave and courageous until the end. Prostate cancer did not define his life but how he dealt with it did.
We all wonder where are path leads us? Heartfelt blessings to you and your family. Thank you for your strength that allows you to share his passing.
It was not so much his passing that I wanted to share but the fact that he had over 17 years with prostate cancer when we did so much together. It is my prayer that this will give hope to those of you who are worried about the future. Thank you for your kind words.
It sure does. He is certainly an inspiration to us. Praying for you and your family.
Izab,

Yes they do. There are so many happy memories.
None of us asked for this damn journey - sorry for your loss but also thanking you for 17 years as a cheerleader, care giver, and support system. Izab has found his peace - may yours soon arrive.
Thank you for your understanding.
My wife and I extend our sincere condolences for your loss . We have great respect for you and your husband , because as fellow warriors we are cognizant of your long and courageous journey against this disease . God’s peace and comfort to you and your family
Thank you for your kind words to myself. Yes I was all of those things but also his wife and sadly prostate cancer was a part of that.
71 years old.... May he live forever in your heart and may he rest in peace. You both fought a long battle and may you never forget the highs and lows that brought both of you closer together. Hopefully if I ever get to meet him in the big comedy store in the sky he will let me know what his ID meant. God Bless you, your family and your friends...

I am sorry for your loss. Often times, I wonder how my wife and 3 boys will deal with life and how they will remember me when I am no longer here (which I am hope is more than a few years down the road.) My hope is they will know and feel how much I loved them; I hope they remember the good times we had together, and lastly I hope they smile. May the same be true for you.
Sorry for your loss. He was quite a warrior.
So sorry for your loss blessings and peace to you and your family.

Thanks for sharing. My sincere sympathy for you and your family. It is always in the back of my mind (and I am sure others in this forum) that when it is my turn, someone in my family will report my passing to this group. The people here have been very helpful in making informed decision or reporting on progress of various research regarding PC.
Yes that is so true
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Very saddened to hear of that, R.I.P.
