Is not true that the effectiveness of using Zytiga is based on ones biomarkers or lack of certain biomarkers? Same is true for Xtandi, correct? Thank you.

That's backwards. The effectiveness of Zytiga/Xtandi is not based on your biomarkers. Biomarkers (and scans) can be used to monitor the effectiveness of Zytiga/Xtandi.

There are mutations of the androgen receptor that allow the cancer to progress when treated with Zytiga or enzalutamide. One of these splice variants is the AR-V7. If the cancer is AR-V7 positive it may not respond to zytiga or enza treatment.

Thank you. I totally agree there is a benefit in knowing as much as you can prior to a decision in deciding your best treatment option and what will work best.

Thank you. Is there currently a blood workup that is available for individuals to measure for AR-V7 Splice Variant? The little that I have read is that there is not?
