Took a holiday trip to Niagara Falls. Went across the border to a pharmacy and bought a two-dose package of Dukoral for 106.00 Canadian. Came back across the border with no problem. Merry Christmas. Don't forget your passport.

Dukoral
Just got Vaxchora (live attenuated cholera vaccine ) prescription from my primary doctor.
Pharmacy will deliver it on 26th dec. My great Insurance will charge me only zero dollar and zero cents. I am excited to get my Vaxchora. Special thanks to Nalakrats for providing the knowledge...Can't wait !
Sounds great. Merry Christmas!🍸🍸🤠
Merry Christmas..Dr Phil. Millions of world travelers take cholera vaccine each year when they travel to developing countries. That itself is enough for me believe that cholera vaccine is harmless.
I took my second dose last friday, no harm if it doesn't work. Cheap med if it does.🍸🍸🤠
Did it slow your PSA or any noticeable effects? I have mine in the fridge and plan to take it this week.
I did not check PSA that month. But my lymphocytes count went thru the roof...over 410. So my NLR ratio went down to 0.7.
I take it lowering the NLR is desirable since a high NLR is not ?? And presumably a lymphocyte surge increases broad immune response via the T cells and B cells. That sounds like a good thing too.
Any other data points or thoughts on Dukoral (or in your case Vaxchora) eight months later. It is on my list, but with the border closed don't think I'll get it anytime soon.
Thanks.
You are right....Cholera vaccine gives a boost to cell mediate innate immunity which leads to high lymphocyte count for initial months and then, keeps immune system charged for 2 years to fight any type of attack such as Cancer. There are 3 ratios we need to monitor, NLR, PLR and LMR. NLR needs to be below 3 but LMR needs to be above 3 . PLR needs to remain below 120.
It says that normal is: Does that translate to 4100 under your test metrics? 800-5000 (0.8-5.0) lymphocytes/mcL
It says that normal NLR is - We have identified that the normal NLR values in an adult, non-geriatric, population in good health are between 0.78 and 3.53. Is it desireable to have a high or low NLR?
Is it bad or good that your lymphocytes and NLR results changed to those levels you mentioned?
Lymphocytes 4.10 ...10*3/UL after Vaxchora and NLR went down from 2.3 to 1.2. Lower the NLR better it is. For last several months, my NLR is running in 1.0 to 1.5 range. PLR ..same thing ,,lower the better. Mine is in 60s lately. LMR always needs to be higher than 3.0. Because More Monocytes indicate that body is in need of more macrophages and NK Cells .obviously to fight cancer cells...so more Monocytes are being created. So, lower Monocytes..better it is.
good info. my lymph# is 1.1 K/mm3 and neutro is 2.4 K/mm3 so 2.18 nlr My Mono is .3 so my LMR is 3.7 How does your 10*3/UL translate to my K/mm3 metric? Are they the same? What are your raw numbers for lymph and neutro now?
My last weeks numbers: Abs Lympho=2210....Abs Neutro= 3610 NLR= 1.6
Platlets= 148 PLR= 67 Mono= 623 LMR= 3.5
Thanks man. It looks like my ratios are not to much different than yours. I just have lower raw values on everything, which always concerns me but docs say it's ok as long as it's in the normal range (albeit mine are near the bottom of the normal levels).
Godspeed
Thanks for the info DAN, and happy holidays.
You didn't swim across, did you? I heard that it would be a barrel of fun....
