So drove up to Canada today and picked up Dukoral. Pharmacist pulled it out of the fridge in back. Considered over the counter travel med so no problems, no scrip. Cost 100 Canadian. Its oral so no hassles. Two bottles to take...six weeks apart.

So is Dukoral and the cholera vaccine one on the same ? Any reason we all shouldn’t be using this? The survival benefits were astounding although we all know that is not scientific proof.

I would be interested to read TA and others' opinions on Dukoral. It sounds very promising.

Have your investigations found any negative side effects from it's use in men with advanced prostate cancer taking Xtandi, ADT, etc?

Thanks for posting about this.

He will tell you there was no phase 3 trial so it is not endorsed. Things like meta analysis don't count. I am sure he only endorses metformin in diabetics since there is no phase 3 trial in non-diabetics...

am i reading this right...a 16% drop in mortality over 10 year period...from 23 to 5%

Maybe someone can improve on my quickie analysis?...anyone?

More like .5 % vs 2.3% over ~7yrs including nearly 7000 man years observation

That tells me we’re surviving in ever greater numbers but dukoral is the insurance policy to keep us going til they cure this beast.

Follow up...I’m hip shooting here...when they discovery my PC I was also sent to a dermatologist for skin cancer concerns...I’ve been treated before with effudex which cleared things up mostly for many years. My PC oncologist was most interested in my paternal grandmother aunt and of course father awa sibs...who I’m relieved to say are seemingly cancer free...long story short...he said melanoma may be comorbid with brc1...hopefully they find something in my blood to rule this out...however, I had a squamous mass removed from my neck....guess what..after my Dukarol vaccine first dose..it’s nearly totally granulated to a minute painless scab...just sayin’

These compounding good tidings are starting to worry me!

What did you do with the 2nd dose that comes with the vaccine? You have to take 2+ weeks after the first dose. Did you drive back to the US with that? Do the border patrol officers care about that?

I threw it in my dumpy garbage center console, its a pretty small vial. didnt declare it. dont know if they would get their panties in a bunch or not.

but I figure worse case scenario they take it away from you. I personally would push back if it came to that..after all its an over the counter med.

I had my doc look into this.

He found the online description confusing, but came to a provisional conclusion that the Cholera version is different from the diarrhea version.

The Cholera version is the one that was tested, and it is the one that requires a prescription.

Now the diarrhea version may work, or the US version may work. But there is no evidence supporting that.
