Finished the Radiation Therapy!
I've made friends with all the girls (and guys, but they weren't so interested in selfies) in the department - we've had lots of banter about Santa - "I've been good" - "you're on the wrong list", so I decided to make it a little more memorable. Santa in the off season. Lots of selfies. We sang 'Jingle Bells' before I rang the bell.
BTW, I started 'in the chair' at a local mall the next day.

Good on ya Gramps, I’ve just finished my 1st week of it with 5 weeks more to go which brings me up to, I hope, a happy Christmas. Our 2 Grandkids are coming up in 2 weeks time, plenty of beach, good weather (here in Australia) boogie boards for the kids to get into the surf, and a couple of rounds of golf with my son in law. Can’t wait to get the radiation over with. Yep, I’m on first name basis with all at the zapping centre, they know me me well from the last few times. Good luck Gramps and Merry Christmas Santa.

I believe we started at the same time. Just finished mine on Thursday. Fatigue the last 3 weekends, but overall not too bad, other than feeling it was never going to end. Hope it was the same for you. Merry Xmas Santa!
Congrats! I banged the gong 1 month ago. It was hard saying bye to all the great techs and my fellow patients, but nice to not having to worry if my bladder was filled and my bowls empty ! Keep it up the kids are counting on you!

I didn't miss having to go every day for 9-weeks but I missed seeing and talking to the staff every day. They were like a second family...that you'll never see again.
