Our family has decided to spend the holidays with friends in Santa Fe. The Christmas displays are beautiful, in an already beautiful town. I’m also hoping that the altitude will stimulate my body to acclimatize to the thinner air and increase my red count.
This sounds a whole lot more enjoyable than the therapies I’ve gone through over the past year. I hope all of you find some peace and joy, with fewer thoughts about the disease.

I’ve been to Albuquerque before . Towards the end of the trip, a waiter asked “Red or green?” I said “Neither “, because I wanted to taste more than the first bite. He looked at me like I was a jerk, and said “On the side.”
My favorite place in and around Santa Fe is the Shidoni Gallery, and Sculpture Gardens it is a working foundry and fun to walk arond and see all of the artwork. Enjoy your trip.
My red count has been off since I started this journey, the doctor says that is normal with the medicine and is watching it, look up ways to increase the count through food. My calcium was off due to xgeva but took extra calcium but then my potassium was off so now working on that.
I looked up foods earlier. Looks like you need sufficient protein, iron and B12. Red meat and fish are good sources of all three. My potassium had also been low, and my blood pressure elevated. Cardiologist prescribed spironolactone, which increases potassium and lowers BP.
Just a side rant. I don’t know why they made up similar names Xgeva, Xtandi and Zytiga. I can never keep them straight.
Of course, I had the same problem with my coworkers Candice and Francis. They were the same height, dressed in the same colors, and were mainly seen together. I would ask Francis to get Francis so the three of us could take. She would roll her eye’s and say I’m Francis.
Enjoy Sana Fe , a magical place . My first memory there was at 8 years old watching the first man on the moon on black and white tv . I’ll never forget that . Clean air in Santa Fe .. Enjoy it! 🥳👏👏🥂
