Nilandron? If so, please let us know why that drug was chosen for your care, rather than casodex or anything else more recent Thanks

At the time nilandron was one of the only ADT drugs left for me after casodex. That was before xtandi and zytiga. I was one of the unlucky ones that got lung scars from the drug.

One guy here tried it who responded to me and got years. All’s was prescribed by an mo at Fox chase after casodex faiied. Has side effects but no worst than standing. Good luck with your decision. Rocco

It was prescirbed for me after Casodex failed--I think in 2013 or 2014. It was very expensive and totally ineffective.

I’ve been on Nilandron for 9 years with good success. I had been on high dose ketoconazole and prednisone, before that, but, in preparation for Provenge, I had to get off prednisone. I’ve been on Nilandron ever since.my current

psa is .02.

I was a Gleason 8 on diagnosis, had surgery and radiation. My psa was 16 after surgery and I was hormone resistant a few months later.

I was on Lupron and Casodex in 2011 and 2012. Casodex quit working so switched to Nilandron. It brought my PSA back down to undetectable in 3 months. I was on it until 2016 with no side effects. I had Provenge in 2014, stopped all PCa meds in 2016. PSA remains undetectable to date. Knock on wood!
