I have been on. Erleada for about 3 months.
I’m trying to figure out if the tinnitus. is from Ereleada. Has anyone experienced this? Did you continue on the medication with the same dose?
Any suggestions about dealing with Tinnitus?
Thank you

How is your blood pressure?
Also a trick I found when dealing with tinnitus at night. I listen to white noise. One night I was up until like 4am and I put on headphones and found a white noise generator app and was asleep in like 2 minutes. I have only ever had to to that like twice but it works.
Tinnitus starts this negative feedback loop. You notice it.,It stresses you out.,Your blood pressure goes up. It amplifies. Rinse and repeat.
White noise short circuits that loop.
Good luck!
Blood pressure is fine. Thank you for responding
White noise had too many high frequencies, adding to the high frequencies of tinnitus.
Look up Brown noise, and Green noise. No not kidding.
They both have a different frequency response with less highs and more lows.
Im partial to Green noise.
Thanks I certainly will!
Thank you very much
I have wondered the same thing. I couldn't put my finger on it for sure put I have developed tinnitus slowly developing to the point of it being there all the time. Mine is a hissing sound. I tried tracing it back in my head to when I noticed it and it was roughly around when I started Erleada but couldn't be sure. Nothing in the literature suggests tinnitus and you never know when you get something because you are getting older or it is a SE. My mind is able to blocked it out most of the time so I'm used to it now.
HiI started having tinnitus 3 years ago when I started Eligard. I thought there was a cicada in our backyard, it turned out it was in my head...
It's worse when tired, lying down at night with no other sound around.
First , try not to pay attention to it as it can drive you nuts
Blood pressure management helps. Going to sleep listening to audio book at low volume or meditation helps too.
All the best

Hello, I have tinnitus before i have Erleada, sound like cicada, i have Zoladex at that time. My blood pressure is normal
I've had a lot of "stuff". Taxotere and Carboplatin gave me tolerable tinnitus, fades after several months but a bit of it is permanent, hissing in a quiet room. Bactrim DS (antibiotic) for 10 days was the worst, ramped up the tinnitus, pretty bad for a 2-3 weeks (roaring in a quiet room), then went back down. For another issue, Dr scripted Keflex (antibiotic) instead of Bactrim, doesn't seem to contribute. I had hearing tests and reported no loss of hearing, but tinnitus is subjective, can't be measured by instruments, it's all in your head (not trying to be funny). It's unpleasant as I experienced for a few weeks. Good luck.
Firmagon + Erleada (6 mo). No tinnitus.
