You seem to qualify for Zytiga, Xtandi, Xofigo, Provenge and Taxotere. Lots of clinical trials too - any analysis of metastases?

Goofie,

Welcome to the forum that no one ever wanted to be a part of, but we are glad it is here...

You have been at war for several years and now castrate resistant. There are many new clinical trials and more coming including several classes of new drugs-not anti-androgens, vaccine trials including a CAR-T infusion with vaccine booster which showed 60% cure rate-in animals-I did say cure rate --able to launch an immune response to wipe out the cancer when re-inoculated , and many more. There is HOPE because the Science is Coming !!!

Have your MD get you started on Xtandi or Zytiga. I take Zytiga and the side effects are not bad. ... If on Zytiga, you would take Prednisone 5 mg--2x a day...

Best of luck...

Hi Goofie,

Welcome! I'm still wet behind the ears around here, but there are so many knowledgeable warriors on this forum with fantastic info on almost any PCa-related topic you can come up with. Feel free to ask, share, etc :)

Best wishes to you on your journey!

In solidarity,

Sunlight

Hi Goofie, I had a similar diagnosis and I was prescribed Erleada plus ADT. I know it’s not yet approved for metastatic disease, but somehow my doctor got it through the system. Works for me, knocked down my PSA fast, and bone Mets disappeared. Only downside to all these drugs in my opinion is that you stay on them until they stop working...none of them are cures.

Question(s)? Give us more info about yourself. age? location? Gleason and Psa scores? Treatments to date? where treated (center)? doctor's name(s)? All info voluntary but it helps us help you and helps us too. Please respond in a future post (not today and not to me) thank you.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
