More details and a question?

A couple members asked for more details, Gleason 10, PSA 166, from the Quad Cities, IL - treatment and MO at University of Iowa. Pelvic and perirenal lymph nodes involved. My MO also pointed out a few other spots in the CT that looked suspicious near the kidneys and aorta. Started Lupron and docetaxel on Wednesday. Feeling fine for now. Any ideas on how specific PET scans are? I would like a better answer than suspicious.

The new Axumin PET and experimental PSMA-based PET are very specific - about 90% specificity if the SUVmax is sufficient.

What type of PET scan did you get? Sounds like a PSMA PET/CT to me.

I have not had a PET scan only a CT scan with contrast. This is why I am asking.
