Started Erleada April 1

My husband started Erleada when Xtandi stopped working on April 1. They found some more spots and so we did more radiation treatments to the areas, hip and back, 15 total and he completed radiation May 10.

Going back one year, he had his first radiation tx to his left hip and experienced lymphedema of the left thigh (which remains swollen today). We visited all of his Dr's regarding the lymphedema (vascular Dr., his MO, and RO), no clots, just swelling. All 3 Dr's stated that they did not think the swelling was due to the radiation bc typically lymphedema, if it does occurs, does not occur until at least a month or so later. We never got an answer. Periodically my husband experiences swelling in the same leg. The past few days he is feeling some tingling/sensitivity to his left and right hips, an achey back and joint pain. He describes the tingling feeling like a sunburn. His ankle and knee are swollen. Wondering if this is due to the most recent radiation treatments? Not sure if the new meds are contributing to the achey feeling in his knees/joints? Anything suggestions/insight that anyone can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!! So grateful to you all. Carol

His previous SBRT radiation to the pelvic lymph vessels may be the cause.

Hi Carol, Please keep us up to date on your husband's progress with Erleada. My husband is in the same boat with Xtandi becoming ineffective and I will probably have to start hounding for Erleada or the other one from the various doctors. It would be helpful to know if it's effective in your husband's case since it's reserved for non metastatic pCa. I know the doc we will see soon preferred Zytiga over Xtandi so he will probably try him on Zytiga.

You are lucky to have Dr. Oh as he was highly recommended to us by one of the MO docs in Florida.
