Girding our loins for another surgery

Doing TURP tomorrow. My husband is still not fully recovered from his two-week stay following his kidney stone issue. Worried about his serum albumin going into this, but the surgeon thinks he's good to go and he wants to do it.

Wish us luck. Hopefully he will recover well and we can move on to whatever is next.

Sounds like his urinary system is being cleared top to bottom - I hope this does the trick.

I've read all your posts. I'm just hoping that you and your husband finally catch a break from the hell you've been through over these last few weeks. That your husband goes into remission and everything clears up, and that you can finally get a good nights rest.

I'm sorry that you have to go through this.

Happy to report he's out of surgery and doing very well. Hoping this one is an easy recovery and we can get on to the next stage. Thank you all!

I had a TURP in July of 2017 following a complete urinary blockage (and PCa Dx).

My recovery went well (relatively quick) after the catheter was removed.

The UIs were a concern, but that was dealt with accordingly, seeing as I was cathetered for a total of 4 months, prior to the procedure.

I have had no lasting side effects and after 2 years can state that my urinary system reminds me of a long time ago when I had no problems at all.

I hope that a similar outcome awaits you ....
