Had a blood draw Monday, (my 1st in 4 months and only my 2nd since going off treatment in Mid-November)
It came back at 0.06. My previous score was >0.01. Okay so it went up. I still have a Prostate and seeing as my libido is coming back I assume my T level is as well. I am bound to have PSA. How high it will go I suppose time will tell. One thing is for certain. Even if it doubled every month it would take another 6 months to reach a level I will be worried about.

I too am probably going on vacation from lupron Zytega after going down to .02 for almost a year. I too have 65% of a Prostate (after a focal chryo 8 years ago) so my PSA is expected to go up even without the cancer coming back. So how to know when to go back on treatment? After consulting with my own MO and an MO at Ucla , my plan is to do a psma test now so I have a good baseline. That should allow future psma tests to help guide my future treatments. I’m open to other suggestions
Schwah .
Congratulations and continue to enjoy your holiday!!! It is so nice to have your T up and your PSA low! Love it live it!
My story began in June 2006. Diagnosed with stage four. PSA over 3200. Metastases in my bones lungs lymph nodes. Potential brain metastases or metastasis putting pressure on my optic nerve because my vision was really messed up. Although my first oncologist wouldn’t tell me at the time, my original prognosis was no more than a year. I guess it has been a pretty amazing journey
Yes maybe I'll try that purple glove on head treatment as John inquired about..(photo on your Blog) btw u should list your blog site here..anyway, yes more than an amazing story, I would definitely call yours miraculous, from one miracle man to another, my brother. Keep carrying the torch for us, and as always , keep the faith!!
WOE aka Dan -St 4 at 54th month undetectable on Zytiga
Stories such as this one helps keep hope alive for many sufferers. It does prove that no two cases are identical and forecasts from some medical sources about outcomes and longevity can be misleading.
I hope that my case might mirror some positive / unexpected results as well.
I'm 1 year in as an undetectable (>0.02) with a G9, node positive DX.
I was treated with radiation and 16 months of ADT (last shot was July / 18).
So far, so good.
My T is creeping back at 70 just above- castrate levels.
