My husband just got another set of scans and Labs. I am thrilled that it is good news. His Chromogranin is the lowest is has been - 55 - well below the high end of normal(95). His PSA is undetectable. The scans are great.. I always have hard time completely understanding the bone scan.. but my husband says that basically they show no disease.
He still struggles with the pain from the neuropathy damage to his feet(neuropathy from Chemo). He has Charcot foot on his one foot.(Had to google it.. the whole time I have been calling it sharko foot). He is still doing the Square One protocol integratively(with drugs) He also takes regular ozone steam sauna's with oxygen. I think that a good sweat contributes to his health. Glad to have the sauna for that since his feet make aerobic exercise tough. He does weight lifting a couple times a week.
His current Medical treatment is Zytiga and Lupron.
I am very happy that he is doing so well. Thank you all for your wonderful support, It has been a great help.
Sending lots of love, prayers and hugs!

Fighting neuropothy in hands and feet which is still slowly improving. Last of 9 chemo treatments ending last Feb. but still on Xtandi which had made me a complete invalid by 4 mo. after chemo. ended. Cut dosage 5 times and ended up at 86 mg /day as a living dosage. PSA bottomed at 0.122 which has held for the last 6 mo. after 0.140 for the 6 mo. before that. Planning on 10 yrs and moving to retirement home in North Idaho the end of June, just 2 yrs late.
The Neuropathy is not fun.. but I bet North Idaho is lovely! I have only been to Boise. It seemed like a nice town. I hope you enjoy your retirement home!
North Idaho is so different than Boise. 9 mile drive from Bonner's Ferry to Moyie Springs where my daughter lives is never complete without seeing deer, turkey, elk or moose.
It is pronounced that way--Sharko....it is French named after the MD that studied it...Charcot.. Your news is fabulous... Congratulations... Wishing you the best....
Great to hear good news. Especially after almost 2 years. I have chemo caused foot neuropathy and had never heard of Charcot Foot. Have been taking Gabapentin which does not seem to help. But almost eliminated hot flashes, so oh well. Hope I can Jump the Shark. Enjoy.
