Traveled to Adelaide to visit my Onc on the 9th April.

My PSA has been at <.05 since November 2018, and the last test came back the same.

Good news, for me, is that my mets (left ilium, right iliac crest, t5, 7th right rib, and both clavicles) are now undetectable. I've been fighting this bastard since May 2013 (gleason 4+5) ADT and targeted beam radiation therapy. Zytiga/prednisolone/Triptorelin since April 2018.

Hell of a ride, but it's been worth it. We (My Onc, my angel and I have decided to keep going with the Zytiga for as long as it works, as it seems to be doing the job. We dropped the dose of prednisolone back from 10mg to 7.5mg a few months ago and the side effects have diminished quite a bit.

The plan is for a Gallium 68 PSMA/PET scan and an MRI in June, so I'll know more how things a going.

This last summer was the first time I have not been on the fire truck in 10 years as a first responder. Was called in to help out mopping up a couple of times, but I consider myself at 70 to be a bit of a liability when the heat is on!

Keep your spirits up guys! We might not live to be 100, but hey, we can have a hell of a time trying.

Cheers

Sugar Gum is a very dense and heavy hard wood. Burns very clean and hot and leaves almost no ash. A log about 18 inches long and about 8 or 9 inches thick will burn for about 6 - 8 hours if you turn the air down a bit!

I want sugar wood .to burn ,don’t have it here. hard to,chop,I’d assume .. we have native ironwood trees here in our desert . Won’t float , protected species ,ironwood natl monument is one hr from our place. Keep chopping with that good news. Peace thevvy .

Maybe if I was a few years younger, there could be a business oportuniy exporting sugar gum to USA for fire wood. The only way to cut it with an axe (when it's dry) is with the grain ... still hard to do though ...

Our native ironwood will

Destroy a chainsaw quickly . In our sister state of Sonora south of the border the Native Seri Indians started carving this ironwood into to rustic figures mostly of sea life in the sixties. Especially in Bahia de Keno . Close to Tucson Dad took us camping a lot in mex. when I was 7-8-9 yrs old . and he bought a few from the ladies hands that carved them , some now collectible art work . . In the 80’s they . started mass producing copies and now Import and sell mucho to tourists...In The US ironwood is protected. They live from

800 to 1200 years and then after their death another 1400 yrs to finally disintegrate . The most drought tolerant tree in our desert .

Good news. Congrats!!!

Question: Why are fire trucks red? Answer: If someone pulled your hose you'd be red too.

Give my regards to your girl friend Adelaide.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Thanks cobber .... I'll be with her again in June, so I'll make sure to pass on your regards ...

Our fire trucks are white with stripes and red and blue flashing things and something that makes a hell of a din.

Following on from your joke .... if a bloke pulled my hose Id be a bit white too ....

Cheers cobber, keep up the good work!
