Anyone know Dr. Tu at MD Anderson?
Dr. Tu is my current doctor. I just started with him about 10 days ago but he comes highly recommended and he is very conversant. He is willing to discuss any situation with you and he seems like he's an excellent doctor.
So far so good for me with Dr. Tu. I like and respect him and I agree he is very conversant. He does seem to be away and out of the country a lot and a little slow responding to questions I submit on MyChart. I think the world of his PA Joma.
Thanks for responding to my question!
So now I have Drs Tu, Tang, Wang and Yang! No kidding...
I had Dr. Choi, and Dr. Wang (my pump doc) at MD have Dr. Shang at Duke...
I fired MD Anderson some time ago. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Conventional medicine all the way. No individualized thinking. Luv to scan you multiple times. Over crowded. Great facility for some cancer types. But the entire genitourinary department is in disarray. Scheduling is a disaster. Too many residents in training. Nuff Said.
Dr. Tu was my first doctor. Was on a bone cancer drug. I think it did well for the bones not so much for the soft tissue. Dr. Tu's family is out of the country. Loved his PA. Both were very good at going over progression. Always ask questions. MD is a teaching hospital. Have some filun in Houston while the weather is cool. Good luck.
Thank-you NH
Dr. Tu is my oncologist and has been for over 7 years. You are in the best hands with him, consider yourself blessed to have him. He is brilliant and very compassionate, and he takes time to be sure you understand everything in laymen's terms. Great hospital!!
God Bless

I had Dr. Tu. He came highly recommended. Seemed like a decent fellow. He told me a pack of lies and cancelled a follow-up appointment, made 3 months in advance, with 40 minutes notice.
Fired his sorry ass.
Tu has been my MD Anderson doc for 2 years. I have not experienced any of the negatives that others have. I might feel the same way they do if I had. However, I find him to be an excellent provider, have learned a great deal about my condition from him that others neglected to tell me (or maybe didn't know about) and MD Anderson to be a facility I'm very grateful for. I tend to look at the glass as half full.
