Are the side effects the same with the 3 months shot versus the 6 months , the RO says there is no difference in side effects . This will be my first lupron shot .

First Lupron shot
Never had the 6 month shot, but I've had a couple of 3 month shots....the brain fogginess has gotten a little better....maybe I am just coping with it better, I don't know.... still forgetting things but not as bad....the hot flashes may have gotten a little bit worse...beyond that, it is about the same...
All the best,
Fish
I’ve had a one month of Eligard (lupron) preceded by three months of degarelix and followed by a three months injection of Eligard. Side effects all the same, mostly hot flashes which, to me. are easily tolerated. I exercise every day, stay in good shape and eat a healthy diet (except for red wine in the evenings with dinner) and I think the diet and exercise go a long way in minimizing SEs.
The same (unfortunately).
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I had 3 month shots of Lupron for 6 1/2 years and the side effects come and go. They fade with time. I liked seeing my oncologist every 3 months, because I always had questions and he checked my PSA. From time to time he found changes in my blood tests and we were able to add or take away medications.
Good point about checking things Jim, Thanks for the encouragement about effects coming and going doc said I will be on it for at least 33 months . I am Gleason 10 getting brachytherapy in 2 months then ebrt for 5 weeks. Just starting this journey , thanks for your feedback
Best of luck Sir..
