When I have a glass wine and mostly two in the early evening, it causes pain in my penis. Sometimes, the entire penis but mostly just at the tip.
i've have had the works, RP, SRT -- tramadol seems to help it.
Even before all my procedures, it occurred at times...
MRI, scoped out the bladder and all seems normal --- stress also brings this on at times.
I ve had back issues for yrs and was and was an avid cyclist for several yrs. - I'm getting a pudendal nerve block next week - hope this helps - but has anyone else experienced this too?

There was a posting on this a year ago. See: healthunlocked.com/advanced... One person suggested that acidic urine can cause it. Another mentioned the possibility of a urinary tract infection. If you haven't been checked for these, a urologist should be able to test your urine for either condition and may have other ideas for things to check for too.
Is it just after drinking wine? Does any alcohol cause the problem? Does grape juice cause the problem? Maybe you can narrow down the possible causes.
Thanks, Alan - tried all of your suggestions and still the pain/discomfort --- since I ve had this so long they now believe its related to a nerve issue - having a nerve block this Friday..appreciate your suggestions.
Ken may I ask you how you feel after the nerve block ? Did It help you ? I would like to know how your GP decided this was the best option or where does your gp refer you to get this as an option?
Sorry for the delay ---- was away. No help, but there are many types of blocks. L4 - L5 and prudenal nerve block. But I too believe, its a nerve issue...
I'm truly sorry if I offended you with my silly humor. It's just my way of trying to make people laugh... and I guess I hit the wrong button this time. My laughter is sort of a mini vacation. I've got plenty of pain myself so I can relate to your pain. Again I'm sorry and I will try to remember not to try my silly humor on you.
I'm new to the site and my reply I thought was going to only - it was meant to offend u or anyone else -- we have to maintain a sense of humor - I really do still have mine.
Hi just read your post from a few years ago. I have developed the same pain and alcohol seems to be a trigger. Did you discover what it was and get it sorted. Thanks
