Is it normal to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes and will it stop during my treatment with Zytiga? (#1).....
Rookie question : Is it normal to go to... - Advanced Prostate...
Rookie question
No, it's not normal. You may have some blockage, or prostate enlargement. talk to your urologist.
That is a question for your doctor. Zytiga suppresses hormones. I did not experience any change in my bathroom habits when I am on Zytiga.
After my RP, I went to the bathroom frequently. As time and kegal exercises passed, my bathroom habits greatly improved.

Twice an hour urination is something to call your doctor about, now. Not to frighten (unfortunately, I probably did), but it sounds like something to jump on now, rather than next week.
I had that problem prior to zytiga. Apparently enlarged prostate choked off passageway and began to cause kidney shutdown. A procedure xalled green light laser surgery opened it back up.
The prednisone can really mess with your blood sugar. My blood sugar skyrocketed after I went on chemo.
Now I've got that under control and urinate much less frequently.
It sounds like a bladder infection which causes the bladder to be inflexible and therefore you are not emptying. See you urologist to have your urine tested.
I have that problem now and again after five years of treatments. I chalk it up to lots of radiation. I take Tamsulosin to stop it.
Definitely not normal. Dr. may prescribe Flomax.
Good Luck and Good Health.

Just my 2 cents worth but since i have had pca i was going at least 3 or 4 times a night, not good for a restful sleep but whenever it returns two days of saw palmetto stops the urge.
But i have not taken Zytiga yet & still have the prostate.
