Cialis (Tadalafil) while on Zytiga?

My father is currently on Zytiga for a bit more than 3 months and a half and doing very well so far, the drug works and keeps his PSA low and stable.

My question here is, is it safe for him to take Cialis? For those that don't know, it's used to treat impotence and BPH. Yes, he wants to have his libido back and the treatment is supposed to last 2 whole months.

His URO and his MO both agree that it won't cause any problems but I'm concerned about the testosterone levels, this med is still supposed to increase it and I'm not sure about how it would react alongside Abiraterone.

Any info regarding taking Cialis and Zytiga together would be greatly appreciated.

Cialis doesn't affect libido at all - Zytiga is a libido killer. Taking Cialis won't make him want sex again. It will just help him get an erection if he does want sex.

It won’t hurt at all. I base this on my experience with low dose Viagra which I started during seeds and IMRT on the theory that using and maintaining the vascular system was important to help repair the damage done with radiation. I continued through my six month chem trial and during the next five years on Lupron.

It worked. Wasn’t like it once was, but still worked. BTW, it was Cardiologist and Oncologist approved. Both said that it would not hurt and just may help.

Zytiga is definitely a libido killer but it keeps Advanced Prostate Cancer from killing you. In my opinion that's nor a bad trade off. Viagra works for me and a very loving, understanding wife.
