That's good news. The Lupron is shrinking the mets, which is what it's supposed to do. I think that surgery after Lupron becomes more difficult. Since it is controversial whether debulking improves survival, I suggest you go with the kind that has the lowest side effects. Here's an article about debulking:

Yes, your mets may grow while you're on break. But you can decide when it's time to come off the break. Intermittent ADT when there are mets present is controversial. The question is whether your testosterone will recover enough so that you will feel better by the time it's time to end your vacation.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins are experimenting with alternating testosterone and ADT. It's still experimental, but it would solve the problem of testosterone recovery - the patient would have high levels of testosterone for half the year. You can read about it here:

Hey, I had 30 months ADT(Lupron and Casodex)with last shot on 03/31/17. I also had 15 Taxotere sessions in 2015. PSA went from 840 down to a nadir 0.1 in 2017.

PSA is at 5.7 and no bone mets or pelvic adenopathy - I had mets to L ureter lymph nodes at Dx. We are waiting for a one month PSA doubling time before we restart the ADT. Got my Quality of Life (QoL) back, T at 524, no hot flashes, mood swings and I lost that 20 lbs that I had on it. So, we are letting the cancer stay sensitive to T by giving it what it wants and then we'll deprive it again.

Best to you and Fight On
