We will have musicians performing. It should be a lovely event to honor Neal. We will get back with more information later.

How many years has Neal been fighting this disease?

We are very sad to share the news that Neal died March 11, 2018 at home in San Leandro. He spent his last days with his family, listening to jazz music and eating good food.

Joyously, this news is being sent over a decade later than doctors once feared; in 2003, Neal was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer and given an estimation of 2-3 years to live. Neal refused to accept that fate. He stubbornly and determinedly tried nearly everything to beat cancer. He did for 15 years!

I will pray for his soul. I admired his zest for life. He was a true fighter.
