Zytiga and Food

There is a study in the latest issue of Cure Magazine comparing Zytiga + Food to Zytiga on empty stomach. The result was 1/4 of the Zytiga dose +food was = to full Zytiga dose on empty stomach with way less cost and side effects. The study should be in the Cure Magazine online edition.

Malecare reported this many months ago. You have to work with your doctor to figure out how to maximize efficacy using food. Don’t try to figure that out on your own

I did zytiga with food. A few years ago, and got more time out of zytiga. Important to follow liver enzymesclosewhen doing this, and only under your Doctors blessing.

Our MO instructed my father to take 2 with a low fat breakfast. He has been in Zytiga for 13 days and we just got his PSA read. It went from 98 to 59 !! We are ecstatic. My father has failed all the following and did not see his PSA ever drop with Xtandi, Jevtana, carboplatin.. our eyes all welded up with tears of joy the Something is working. We will take what we can get!!

I am so happy for You and your Dad!! All that chemo may have reactivated the arv7 receptor and xtandi may work now too. I was on 4 pills with high fat , maybe that will be next . That is such a great response in 13 days it looks like it is dropping like a rock, I am pulling for a long response to this, excellent news thank you for the post. Enjoy everyday, maybe another trip is order for celebration, I had also posted a study showing that when zytiga prednisone stops working switching steroid to dexamethsone sometimes gives additional response. Thats why we have to try everything and get as much as we can, we never know what will work, had he ever been on zytiga before?

Dan59, his last appointment his alk phos went up (139 now) and PSA went up from 59 to 65. Lately he is feeling like one of the nodes in his pelvic area is getting larger☹️ I just spoke with his MO Because he also is feeling body aches. I will let you know what happens I just hope that there’s a zytiga still working. If not then maybe I will ask to change the steroid as you recommended.

I would give no creedance to that "study". Instead I would study what the doctor ordered and what the Mfr-Jansan states on the instructions on the bottle, and follow that, Works for me 39 months indetectable
