Metformin and elevated Billburin

I started taking Metformin about a month ago. I started by 500mg once a day, and increased it last week to 500mg twice a day. The plan is to go 2000mg a day in a month.

My labs today showed elevated levels of Bullburin. All other liver numbers are good. Reading online,Metformin could be the main culprit. Anyone with similar experience? I’m doing another set of labs next week, and cutting the dosage to half to see what happens.

Thanks Nal. I had a similar issue with Zytiga - all liver enzymes jumped. I stopped and redstarts in 2 weeks and all was back to normal. Just curious if this could follow the same path
