Burnett1948.Reptale can you tell us (1)the cost of this book and(2) is it worded for lay people to read & understand please?

Hi Burnett1949, I paid $30 for the book, but others have found it cheaper online. The book has some footnotes so you can find the original studies that the experts base their judgements on, but it is not an academic book. It is easy to read and very clear. However, only a few chapters are devoted to advanced Pca. Those few are worth comparing with your own treatment plan. The chapters on nutrition are also great advice for all of us.

Burnett1948.Reptale do you know of a similar book on advance PCa current treatments

Reptale in reply to Burnett1948

Sorry, Burnette1948, I don’t know of any specifically on advanced PCa. Considering that ten years ago Stage 4 PCa had almost no effective therapies except Lupron , Casodex and Radiation, it is amazing that those of us with advanced PCa merit even a chapter in a roundup of current treatment methodologies.

Burnett1948.Reptale I have had RP and Salvage Radiation. It would be helpful to know what is the best available now to treat me. I read the names of treatments, I understand new ones become available. I am unsure if they are hormones or new Chemo drugs. I read about use of Pet scans. I have recurring PCa. Has anybody listed up to date treatments?
