I've been on Zitiga for over two months--suddenly I've got severe pain in my elbow and high blood sugar and my GP says I/m diabetic. What is treatment short of stopping Zitiga--Metformin? Thanks

Yes, Metformin would be a good option to control excess blood sugar. It will also have an added advantage of slowing down the growth and progression of PCa.

Jan /17 A1C=5.8
Dec 15/17 A1C 6.8 Fasting glucose 6.0 mmol/l
Last two weeks my own readings have been high first in morning around 7.0 and for months prior around 6.0 So I'm going on paleo diet and will get A1C measured in three months. The real problem is the joint pain if it hits a knee or ankle I'll be crippled.
Encouragement: drug got my sugar ( glucose ) score to 156; however, diet got it down to 119.

You can not assume (I am not saying that it isn't) that it is the Zytiga causing you to become diabetic. The other ADT drugs you have taken and continue to take with the Zytiga are known to cause it.

on lupron since 2007--zitiga since oct/17--I'll stick to Zitiga as the cause -- only proof would be if I have to stop zitiga and the blood sugar drops .I have found that most Drs will insist that the side effects of their prescriptions are not the drugs fault no matter how obvious.
