I had my prostate radiated in 2011. I'm trying to get in a couple of trials, My bone mets are not accessible and they can't do the trial without some cancerous tissue old or new. My original tissue has been lost. Has anyone had a biopsy done on a radiated prostate. That's what I'm waiting to hear from Smillow in New Haven CT about.

Good Morning wrando,
Am I correct in assuming that you have already exhausted all drug and chemo options?
Guardant360 is a liquid biopsy. It might suffice.
Best wishes. Never Give In.

I was treated with Proton radiation, then PSA started creeping up. My choice of salvage treatment was Cryo, and the doctor performed a saturation biopsy, over 40 cores. So yes, it can be done.
Yes, it was done when my last clinical trial was failing. My Onc thought the cancer was coming from my prostate so they did biopsy to see if anything unusual was there. I had no more discomfort or issues than a biopsy prior to proton radiation.
Sure. It was just about 4 years.
