Estradiol and crMPCa...Dr. Sam Robbins was Right on His Theory That Estradiol is a Driver of PCa Growth and Metastasis

That's weird. I'm sure some guys on this site take estradiol and estrogen patches as an alternative or adjunct to ADT and it appears to slow their progression, which is contradictory.
Paul,
Low-dose E2 while on Lupron, to protect bones, is OK.
High-dose E2 as an ADT alternative is fine too.
What isn't so good is high E2 (>30 pg/mL) with low, but not castrate, T.
The paper was posted 8 days ago & generated some discussion:
"Estrogen receptor signaling in prostate cancer."

A number of doctors have shown this to be a fact. The Pca community is slowly coming to understand that testosterone does not cause PCa.
Nal,
except for us Gators most of the guys up here don't buy into the Estradiol PCa connection.

I am thinking study was in an era ,before Lupron and after Huggins and Hodges when the Only treatments available was Orchiotomy and high dose Estrogen, Just curious if the high dose E had anything to do with The High E2 levels in the Prostate in this study at MSK.
I got my Pectasol , and I take it every day, I also started Glucosamine sulfate to help with hip pain. I hope every one has a good week. Here is Huggins et al from 1941 cancerres.aacrjournals.org/...

Thanks for the tip on MSM, I will check that out, I had never heard of it, Thanks for the tip on taking Pectasol

Nalakrats, I agree that estradiol plays a major role in cancer growth for us with prostate cancer, as well as women with breast cancer. Dr. Ed Friedman (not an MD) wrote about this in his study and later a book. See this link: penguinrandomhouse.com/book...
