That's good news. I hope the Zytiga keeps working for you for a very, very long time.

The Zytiga is doing what it is supposed to do. Let’s keep your PSA sub five!

It means good things for you. Be happy, very happy.

That’s a great response in 5 weeks! I suspect it will go lower. I hope it works for a very long time.

Hi I am also on ZYtiga and steroids, congrats your lowering PSA means you are seeing a good response to the new medication. Hopefully it can stay low for many many years.

Hi:Thanks for your mail.

I appreciate your hopeful words. However,on this website,I have read accounts of guys who have been on everything ie zytiga, chemo, and on and on,and they describe initially good responses, and than the psa goes up again.

My biggest fear, second only to death itself,is chemo.Once you get on that, even if you keep alive, your quality of life is forever destroyed ie the total hair loss, and so on.

My doctor predicted that even with my amazing psa drop, from 230 to 0.56,that it would likely work for around nine months,at which point he wld push me into chemo, something he was ready to do now,and would have expected me to do if I hadnt had such a good last minute response to the zytiga.

The present schedule I have with my doc now is to see him once a month to check the psa.

My next meeting with him will be a month from now,and while I do my best to enjoy life as much as possible,I still live in fear of each psa test, that it might jump up as quickly as it went down, and than the hell of a chemo life awaits me...
