why do I have pain in my teeth and gums, while on chemo therapy?

I'm on chemo cycle 13 today, I wonder what % of patients go beyond 15?

have a good day all, and keep trying your best.

I'm on cycle 4 now and have various random aches and pains that don't seem to have a rhyme or reason. For me, they get better at the end of each cycle so I think they are chemo related. Chemo does effect the mucous membrane and can cause mouth, tongue and probably gum sores as well as. I'd talk to your doctor about it, but it's probably from the chemo.

As Greg points out chemo can cause mouth problems. As to number of cycles I was preplanned as you know for 10 and felt so good throughout I asked for more! I was refused as the extra may have damaged my health! We're all different MrJack with different responses. My Onco plan for me has kept me around 0.03 to 0.04 PSA for the past year. More news next week! And God Bless you.

I'm on cycle 13. my doc tells me my new psa has gone down to 4.4 from a 9'

I will try t see a dentist asap a few days form now and look at my gums and teeth

I have sore bottom molars both sides. so today they did not give me the bone

strengthening medicine , the bone medicine sometimes has an negative affect on jaw bone pain

I read that somewhere, and the onc doc confirmed that plan, I am just starting to feel the red face and stomach cramp, just took some stool softner and going to bed, thanks, jack.

Strange things seem to happen on chemo. I am delayed from going to 10 by something which was found on my lungs during CT scan. When that is taken care of i will resume chemo till it doesn't work anymore. I had various pains at times most have gone away on subsequent treatments. i did not have problems with teeth or gums but i was warned about mouth sores which have not occurred.
