Chemo and Corona Virus

Due to Pca progression I'm scheduled to have Cabazitaxel as second line chemo in UK imminently and am to have telephone consultation with NHS Oncologist tomorrow regarding that.

Does anybody know the criteria set for starting chemo now in UK?...ie has anybody been told that they cannot have it / commence / continue , due to immunity compromise?

Has anybody yet received an NHS letter regarding self isolation for 12 weeks ? I'm doing it anyway.

Thank you with very best regards to all from a sunny UK.

Michael

It's probably a good idea to take Neulasta with it, especially now.

Thank you TA.

I self injected Neulasta following each of the six Docetaxel infusions from November 17 onwards with no problems.

My concern now that I need Cabazitaxel is whether I will indeed be allowed to.

I will report following the consultation so that others know.

You had Lu177Ac225 a year ago right? You only did one infusion? What were results of that.?How come no more infusions and now you are looking at chemo again instead of Lu177.

What did your PSA do and scans show from Lu/Ac a year ago to now?

Good evening.

I was told yesterday that I am able to have my cabazitaxel treatment and my pre chemo assessment is on 31st March ( this is Midlands UK)

In reply to other questions: I only had one session of Lu/act last year at Heidelberg and my PSA responded sufficiently to go for the second which was being planned . This did not happen as I unfortunately had to have a spinal cord decompression operation on L4. This was followed up in September 19 with three sessions of SBRT.

Rising PSA now dictates further treatment as above.
