Farewell

May 21, 2016 Jon Lacourciere (JonLaco) passed away after a 3 year battle with prostate cancer. I write this with an extremely heavy heart and a feeling of sadness so severe. This is Dena, Jon's wife and I have been following Advanced Prostate Cancer since Jon's diagnosis 3 years ago. I am devastated that this disease is so evil and can take lives so easily. Jon fought a good fight and put up with so much sickness yet he kept trudging forward. Good luck to all of the warriors out there.

Oh Dena...... I'm so deeply sorry. He will be missed. I will miss seeing Jon on here. I hope and pray your heart will heal and you will find peace in knowing Jon is no longer suffering. So sorry!! It takes a special kind of wonderful person to be a caregiver for someone with advanced cancer. I have stage 4 and I feel it is harder on my wife than me. Our prayers are with you. Please know you are not alone.

We all know that we are born, so we must die. Many people seek solace in the thought of a life hereafter. Whatever our beliefs, we know that we have led a worthwhile life if we are loved and missed when we are gone. The fact that your heart is aching so terribly is an indication that you and your husband Jon shared a wonderful love. He will live on in your heart and so his life was worthwhile and as you make your way forward in life, he will always be in your thoughts.
