It sound like either the dose is too high for you or the medication isn’t the right one. ADHD meds should usually make you feel calmer if they’re working well. I would go back to my doctor to discuss this.

Your definitely over stimulated, I had the exact same...it's called Starbucks syndrome (it's more just poking fun at it not an actual diagnosis) if I take my meds too close together I still get it now...now my dose has been split in to 3 and I know what the best timing is I don't suffer anymore..

I don’t think that’s how it is supposed to work. Different medications affect people differently… perhaps a different medication or dosage would work better at managing your hyperactivity. I suggest speaking with your doctor.

it’s possible that if you take stimulants and you were misdiagnosed, that hyperactivity goes up. My partner’s not misdiagnosed, but him having the low motivation type of adhd the meds help him want to get things done. Stimulants make me more anxious, so I find non stimulants work better for me. If you are concerned it’s a side effect, you may want to take a gene sight test. This will tell you which meds you have adverse effects with.

My meds do the same thing to me - it speeds me up and does nothing for my ADHD. :-(

My med increases focus & motivation but I sometimes feel agitated and easily triggered. I can no longer sleep thru the nite either. I am trying to evaluate benefit and detriment. I also have to be sure I don't take the afternoon one too soon after the two morning ones.
