Straterra and tiredness

I started taking Straterra a few days ago and I just feel wiped out. Like I just got up from a two-hour nap. It seems to work okay for attention, but one of the side benefits I got from Adderall was a mild energy boost. (I also have excessive daytime sleepiness.)

Has anyone else had tiredness from Straterra and, if so, did it get better after talking the med longer?

Thanks. 😴

I'm on 40/day. I plan to keep on it at least for the next 7 days, but it's definitely not helping me do my work if I can't stay awake.

It made my energy levels fluctuate in weird ways, definitely more tired across the board. I seem to remember that improving or leveling out, but then it increasingly blurred my vision, so I stopped that one.

DUDE! I just started starters 5 days ago! I’m having the same issue. It has gotten a bit better by taking it at night instead (like my doctor suggested) of the morning, and making sure I get some mild exercise in the morning. Keeping myself physical and busy does help.

I do love how I do t feel out of control antsy anymore, but I almost feel zombie-fied. It helps me to label my feelings and be aware of myself more. Only thing it doesn’t do is help me to pause before talking, so I still make social mistakes.

Strattera can take 4 weeks to be effective, so stick with it before giving up on it.

I know it can. Doctors told me 6 weeks before we determine whether or not it is effective. I switched to nights to double check.

My son used to take Strattera, and yes, when he first started taking it, it made him super tired. That tiredness wore off for him after a couple weeks (I don't remember exactly how long it took...it's been several years since he first started).
