can anyone recommend a really good hospital in the Northeast that treats Adults with ADHD. I also have panic disorder. I come into problems because 2 controlled meds are used. It's what worked, I tried a lot of non-controlled treatment and it was mostly horrible. I don't have an advocate so it's harder, own my own here.

I can't recommend any, but I found a list of "Top" ADHD treatment centers on the Additude Magazine website.

None on the list appear to be hospitals.
Thank You for looking that up. I actually needed an inpatient place like a university hospital (I have liver issues). Don't even 1 place I could go because a long time ago a doctor (twice) casually wrote in substance abuse. Everyone follows that pattern. I don't get treated like I'm human even. It's terrifying w/o support at all (friend to advocate). And, it's locked unit so if the treatment hurts it doesn't matter.
I know in Oregon, there's a place specifically called adhd clinic. I think I saw it was in Michigan too, so I think it’s national.
Can you start with your Psychiatrist and hopefully get a referral?
I'm not sure you can just refer yourself.
I have Panic Disorder and ADHD too.
Look into nurse practioners also. My sons psychiatrist had him on the highest mg of adderal, then meds for side effects from it like anxiety, depression, anger until he ended on a psych floor.
We found a nurse practioner that works with addicted patients both illegal and prescribed and he's been a Godsend.
I thought of this. I got treated pretty badly..being inpatient which I probably need now can be horribly painful. They’ve dropped all my panic and adhd meds at once many times. That suffering left terrible phòbias to get care. Not sure what do.
