Does the horrendous dry mouth ever go away with Elvanse - Lisdexamfetamine ??

Hello,

I'm another very late diagnosed adult with both ASD & combined ADHD. Following my recent ADHD diagnosis I had hope that my life could improve with medication, however I've been on Lisdexamfetamine (Elvanse) two months now and the dry mouth, and lips are unbearable, I developed tongue sucking habit and ulcers on my tongue making it painful to eat. I had a month of 30mg tablets then a my mouth recovered a bit as I ran out of meds before my next prescription was ready, but it's worse again now on 40mg, my lips are also peeling ad splitting. I don't need hydrating, I drink loads (colourless wee!) I chew gum, tried artificial saliva spray and chews which helps but doesn't prevent it. I read tongue sucking is common problem, almost a tick.

Has anyone had it this bad at low amphetamine doses and found it eventually eased? Or am I not likely to be able to tolerate them? I'd imagine there won't be much difference with a different type but interested to hear if anyone found a change resolved these side effects. TIA.

Mine did get better at around 2 months. Dose is 30mg.
