Hi! I'm new here and wondering what the community's favorite tools + resources are for focusing? Especially with work? I work remotely and struggle with getting distracted throughout the day.

-Find a quiet space to work with as few distractions as possible-Leave your phone outside the room!!!

-Create a manageable and realistic timetable with buffer time so you know exactly what you’re meant to be doing and when - keeps you on task

-Use a timer! I just bought the timer timer which is visual and good for ADHD

-Find someone to hold you accountable (and you can do the same for them depending on who this person is) where they can check in with you often eg when your meant to be starting a new task or finishing to see how you’re getting on.

It’s difficult to start but try to implement these and other tips little by little and you’ll get there!

Best of luck!!!

Hi jellyfishghost! I use a project management app, called Teamwork - but there are hundred's of options out there. I'm a virtual assistant to ADHD entrepreneurs, in addition to being ADHD myself, and have found that a LOT of people with ADHD like Trello (which you can use for free). It's a simple board that you can set up however you'd like (I have the days of the week) and just enter everything on the day you want to work on it. You can set deadlines and receive notifications that a deadline is coming, etc., based on what works best for you. It doesn't work for everyone, but I keep my entire life in mine - and because I also have the app on my phone, I can add things while on the go. It's saved me from dozens of various written to-do lists that get lost or ragged...or that I just ignore as one more piece of paper stacked on my desk.
