My doc just put me on Vyvanse, 10 mg, to start with. I was on non-stimulants before and they did not do a thing for me for my ADHD. When I took the 10 mg Vyvanse yes i had drive to do things but the heart palpitations and agitation are not comfortable. I'm also taking Effexor XR 150 mg for depression. Is this just in the beginning phase for the body to get used to the stimulant, even on the very low dose or the interaction between the effexor which is a ssri and the stimulant causes this uncomfortable side effect. I know one has to be careful not to cause a serotonin syndrome in your body which is dangerous. Are all stimulants in that category to cause this issue?

Vyvanse vs. SSRI interaction
I’ve been on vyvanse for about 7 years now. I’mOn 50
Mg now and I have late stage Lyme disease and it was then only medication that finally gave me the energy to get out of bed
and do normal household duties. I also take antidepressants vibrryd. The vyvanse was a life safer. Eventually your tolerance will build up and you won’t feel the rapid heartbeat and such.
Hey, I was on vyvanse as a kid, went off and got back on about a year ago. I felt shakey, had tons of energy but felt a little on edge at first and like my heart was racing. It takes some time but your body gets used to it. Took me about a month to feel normal again. However every increase had me feeling the same things everytime I upped the dose. Then it all leveled out again. I only feel those ways if I forget to take my dosage. I'm on 30 mg currently myself. Hope this helps 😊
