I feel super low energy ALL the time lately. A couple of things that help me get out of my morning funk/grogginess is showering, taking my ADHD meds ASAP, going outside (sunlight is supposed to wake up your brain!), and avoiding being on my phone for too long. Going to sleep and waking up around the same time every day is supposed to help strengthen your biological clock, but that option seems out of reach for me (I can NEVER go to sleep or wake up when I plan to). I drink coffee, but lately it hasn’t been doing as much for me, as I still feel kinda bleh and tired even after a full cup. I’m thinking about switching to tea maybe. Also, doing some jumping jacks before I get my day started helps to get my blood flowing.

'I’m thinking about switching to tea' - you may try this way. I already did it and helped me a lot.

Oh really? That’s awesome! Now I am definitely going to try. What teas worked for you? I have never bought tea before in my life LOL

simply black tea. I'v got some benifits from it. One of those is it’s calming. Another is it works for better sleep. Coffee boosts energy level but i had to stop it after 20 days of taking due to excessive nervour excitement. When i eliminated coffee immediately after that i felt deep energy crush. This is because i am avoiding the complexity.

But i must admit that i am considering coffee again only for morning so that it can not ruin my sleep quality.

ALL THE TIME!! Ugh. It’s the worst and it’s always been a big problem for me. The medication I just starting taking, Adderall, has definitely helped a lot! But I do still struggle with it. I love the other persons post. Great ideas for “reactivating” yourself. I’m going to try some of them.

Also, if you do take medication, perhaps it’s too strong or not strong enough or not the right medication for you. Talk to your dr about it. I know my dr chose Adderall because my life had come to a complete stand still. I could barely get off the couch. I don’t know why that made him choose Adderall, but they seem to have certain medications they prefer for certain symptoms. So if things are “off” it might be worth mentioning.

Hope that helps.

Lately, i'm not taking any meds. Now i'm making a new appointment of my doctor.

I am literally still struggling with no energy right now, and I pretty much have my entire life. I hate it so much sometimes. I am currently taking Strattera for about 2 months or so and I’m hoping my doctor will increase it or switch it bc it seems like it’s not very effective for me at the moment. Best wishes, and prayers that we can all find our own natural energy again.

I sometimes feel that we should not stop learning about this condition. I believe the main key to freedom for us from this condition is learning about it and our health more than a med.

I takes more than a pill to make you better. Healthy organic diet, certain supplements, exercise, lots of clean water. meditation, find something you love to do and do it. It is the whole package that works not just the meds.

'certain supplements'? For example?

Not knowing what is going on with you aside from ADHD, I can only give generalizations. High quality organic multi-vitamin, some organic omega 3, but it is best to see where you are at through blood tests. Like b-12, zinc, magnesium, vitamins D3, there are so many choices it depends on what's going on which is your job to investigate. I can't tell you what you need. I go to AmenMd , Dr Mercola, Dr Bredesen, Dr Perlmutter, and others. You mainly want to do what's good for your brain, your microbiome etc.. I don't get caught up in names, what's good for your brain is good for ADD, your microbiome etc.. Look up those doctors websites to start with and you'll learn a lot. From there you follow the paths that feel right. It's a long process that will continue throughout your life. Things change, research brings new. information etc. Just keep exploring, there is no one answer. Best of luck, Dianna
