I am new to this site and really looking for something to help with dealing with ADHD at 53 yrs old. It seems like it is getting worse the older I get. Looking for a person or group for some encouragement. Look forward to hearing or meeting you.

Hi there. Thanks for your response. My wife does all the bills and she makes me lists for things like refinancing the house and she gets all the paperwork together because I would never find it. It has been tough on our marriage I love her but we are just friends that live in the same house. So that aspect it gets a little bit lonely in the physical but also the mental feeling like I am the only one that feels like I do. As you may see in my writing I sometime get sidetracked and get off the topic. Just so much going on in my head that I wish I could turn it off sometimes.
Thanks for the reference books I will check them out. Stay in touch.

Are you already taking any medication? Seeing a psychologist or counselor?
ADHD is hard, because it really impacts all areas of our life. I've learned to use different tools over the past year that I've been diagnosed, learning from books, asking questions, watching YouTube and studying this condition so that while I will always have it, ADHD will NOT dominate my life.
