Hi! I’m Lily and I am 21!

I was diagnosed with ADHD only a month ago! I would love anyone’s tips or anything you can offer me as I start my journey with adult ADHD!

I have been prescribed 30mg Elvanse and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice/tips/experiences with this medication?

I am also on 50mg of Sertraline for anxiety and depresssion!

Thanks!!

Lily :)

Hi

I have been recently diagnosed also, even though I know I've had it a long time, and the doctors kept on telling me it's anxiety.

So I'm here to know how to handle this better.

Ive tried many ADHD meds but not yours for ADHD

What have you done in the past to try to manage your ADHD???

Have you tried DBT , its help in my past with coping mechanisms

I've tried writing calendars even with time frames,

used timers

im big into music, so that helps ,trying to say a mantra over and over again, talk out loud

What have you done in the past to try to manage your ADHD???

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I have anxiety as a comorbidity so I know how it feels!

I haven't tried much as I really don't know where to start! My symptoms have been evident since I was young, so it is hard to know what is my normal and what isn't. Unfortunately, I've grown up thinking this is how life will be forever.

Could you give me some more information about DBT?

Music is definitely a big thing for me too :)

Thank you!

Welcome! I wasn’t formally diagnosed until I turned 31 and treatment has been life changing for me. I have had to learn a lot about different treatment options and what works best for me. Just know you’re not alone on your journey!

I take Concerta 54mg daily. It is a stimulant. It has been a life savor for me! I also take 75mg of Effexor for anxiety/depression.

Check out "how to adhd" on youtube. Girl who was diagnosed really young, but has a load of awesome content to help. Also, when it comes to scheduling, look into bullet journaling. Actually she ^ has a great video.
