How I can get the original brand Concerta at a reasonable price?

My health plan wants just to pay for a generic one.

Do you have the ability to pay a higher co-payment for brand? If not, you could try goodrx, but for brand name stimulants, the only other way might be if the manufacturer has an assistance program. Other than that, depending on your insurance, you could get an override for brand being medically necessary. It would entail paperwork and your doctor having to fill it out, but it's worth a shot.

There is an authorized generic for Concerta - which means it is manufactured by the same company/process and in the same facility as the brand name Concerta, it is just marketed under the manufacturers name of Patriot. It is the only authorized generic at this time, there are other generics but they are not identical to Concerta. Good luck it can take some work for the pharmacy and doctor to coordinate everything but it is worth it and will save you money.

I use generic Concerta and it works well for me. It is significantly cheaper and basically the same thing (as far as I am aware)
