Just read about Brillia from an add in ADDitude Magazine. Have any of you tried it? The adult formula is new. Do any of you have a child who has used it? Would appreciate any feedback.

I haven't but here's a study on it that was promising. oatext.com/clinical-and-saf...

As a guy who's father's side are all physician's as well as someone with very deep medical/neurological/chemistry knowledge as well as someone who has tried everything for ADHD this stuff is pure bs. Did you see their own clinical trials where placebo was superior in every metric. Find a good medication don't fall for these because vitamins, diet Fiengold are all now known to have no positive effects. A good med and good therapist for him to work with on non ADHD issues counseling will have zero impact in ADHD patients, but we carry baggage and that is when a therapist is imperative. I'm Sorry this is my opinion if it was that great a US pharmaceutical company would have had a patent, its closer to a medical food than medicine from what I read. A neuro steroid can do this but those are still another 10 years away.

My child had noticeable improvements from Brillia BUT had side effects from it which is why we stopped because it was pretty scary for us. So they are onto something with understanding the pathway and targeting it with their supplement. I just think they don't know enough about what other chain reactions are associated with it.

But on that note, their clinical study that I found on their site does show improvements, I don't know if you are referring to the one on the link above which I haven't seen until now.

Personally, my opinion is that most of the traditional physicians don't truly understand what they are dealing with. I would prefer to us DNA testing and imaging to study the brain, which is what these doctors are trying to treat. The typical approach is the russian roulette approach which I am against.

My next step is DNA testing to understand how their DNA is affecting them Also if I have to, taking my child to the Amen clinics which is a blend of using imaging to look at how the brain activity correlates to their symptoms. They using imaging, supplements, therapy and medication as needed.

Everyone's on the same journey together and hopefully we can all help each other through our life experciences get to the result we are looking for.

I also found their study to show improvements even though they were very small. Thank you for sharing your experience. I think I will pass on Brillia for now.

I’m sorry that Brillia did not work out. I’m considering giving to my 15yr old daughter who has ADHD and significant Anxiety. My friend started giving it to 18 yr old daughter with similar issues and started noticing significant improvement after 3weeks.

Can I ask what side effects were seen from Brillia and how long it was taken?

I also read about Dr. Amen and his clinic.

Thank you:)

The side effects were tics and ocd behaviors that she couldn't control that came out of nowhere after being on it for a short time. She never had any of these sypmtoms ever in her history. Even well after the supplement was out of her system , she still was left with these issues but to a lesser degree.

I dont want to blame brillia but that was the only thing different we were doing. So its highly likely but how do I prove it?

Yes dr. Amen has great research and clinics but its $4500 for them to do 2 scans and a consult. So it's super expensive but a last resort.

One thing I have to say is that brillia definitely works to help with add/adhd and anxiety. It does work, it's not the cure all.

My daughter has been having alot of anxiety and Add issues with her school work. It was getting so bad, we put her back on brillia and it made a big difference with her add and anxiety. As of 3 weeks ago when I first posted it, I wouldnt have considered it but it was so bad, she was suffering. We had a call with the doctor and she felt confident that going back to brillia should be ok before going on medication.

So she is doing better in brillia, we are keeping an eye to see if her ocd changes.

I am still going to be looking for other remedies but for now she is much better

My 13 y.o son with ADHD started taking Brillia during the summer ( July ), It took him a month to see results, he was more calm and was able to concentrate better, his anxiety specially for food disappear, but in October he started complaining of a mass on his neck, he had a CT scan , we found a 3 cm mass in the submandibular area, ENT order a MRI and he will have a biopsy next week. It doesn't look like a malignancy, it is not for an infection, the ONLY new thing was that medication, off course we stopped it October, but as you can imagine we are very worry. I have been trying to find reports about side effects but most of the information is provided by the manufacture which can be bias. Just be careful and be aware.

Someone suggested Brillia to me for my son who has ADD, She said it has done wonders for her daughter's anxiety and attention issues. I tried Brillia for about 4 days, I felt like it helped him he seemed happier and in better mood however it caused nosebleeds in my son (My son is prone to nose bleeds with few medicines I have tried with him. ) So I stopped, I suggest you to try very low dosage to see how it works for you thank you and good luck
