Hello,
I’m new to this community. I’ve had ADHD for most of my life and have experienced very harsh treatment from those in Mississippi and have tried medications etc.. Now I need a community of support to keep me from crumbling. I’m so hurt!

Hello and welcome.theres a message from a lady today called I was sunshine on this site.Im not sure where she's from but her latest message was so upbeat, night and day from an earlier one.She said being in contact with an ADHD coach has boosted her no end.Shes now thinking of binning her meds.I need to take inspiration from her and try to get myself an ADHD coach cos I'm repeating the same errors over and over and I'm a mess and need help.I hope you feel comfort on this site because we're all suffering in a variety of ways.Keep up with your messages on here to unburden yourself and I hope you find some inner peace.Keep looking for a solution cos you need to find a way out of this mess.Hope you feel a bit better on here because you're talking to like-minded people who have an idea what you're going through.Chin up and hope we all get a positive solution.
Jjflash, I totally agree: keeping up with messages has been helpful for me, and so has diving deep into quiet threads or older ones. Exploring has helped me find solidarity and great advice.
Hi Famousmilitia1,
I hope your days start getting better after being here reading everyone's stories and replies; there's also a lot of great advice. What works best for me is trying to spend at least 2 hours a week here reading and writing; doing this has helped me feel more empowered and far less isolated. Even amidst a pandemic in which a lot of people are feeling isolated, I'm not proud to say I've known this feeling my whole life so it's nothing new to me. Being here is helping me and I hope it helps you, too.
Hiya Famousmilitia1. Welcome to the group. 😊
Seriously, i hear ya! Support is essential! I thought ADHD was made up, i refused medication, omg my resistance was sick! But... i have ADHD. And that does suck. But with stimulant meds, and self education, and support, it can be a tolerable thing.
