I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am not trying to bring you down but I have watched my life slip away thinking I would find the strength to overcome ADD problems. I am 61 now and it all went by so quickly. I just started taking classes after all these years.

Have Considered working with an ADHD coach - I’m 67 and and everything I’ve tried so far is not working too well so I’m gonna try something different - coaching for me

I try in the present - although I fall short sometimes) & acceptance is the key to all the things I cannot change.

I’ve seen this recommended in many places for ADHD. Use reminders and calendar events on your phone to let you remember what you’re planning to do next. Some people go down to 15minute detail.... for work i try to do it by the 1/2, scheduling appointments for myself to work on specific tasks. I review my plan in the morning, writing it on paper for myself. This really help me feel like I committed to this plan and less likely to just ignore it.

Weekends are still a struggle since I don’t have the same habits there yet. But I will try the same approach and see how that works

Hello all

I agree that tme blindness is certainly something I deal with as well. And yes timers do help. We use the calendars ANd the Evernote's system too. Surrounding myself with all of these tools helps out. One thing I did at work was a daily checklist which was great. Just went down the list and checked everything off when done.

We also have Alexa at home and so I ask the machine to remind me of time and tasks.

Hope this helps you on your journey 🌷

Yes, my amazon echo has been very helpful for this. Regular daily reminders help me have a much better sense of time.

Feeling like you're wasting time is something I think we all go through. One thing I've had suggested to me is accept that you will procrastinate or get off track, and try to work that into your schedule. Give yourself a bit more time than you think you need to get things done, so that if/when you do get off track it's not such a big deal. And when you do get off track, try not to beat yourself up over it. Just take a deep breath, maybe a quick break, and then get back on track. I believe that sometimes getting of track is a sign that yoyu need a break.
