ADHD Medications - Avoiding the trial and error

Dear Community,

Any recommendation how to figure out the right medications without just try each and everyone.

I tried Ritalin LA and Concerta both were not right for me and had emotional side effects.

Is there a way to avoid more attempts as those are hard. I heard about Gene testing but can't find a Dr who will order it for me without charging me again for an ADHD diagnose , because my initial one was from another country.

Thank you!

In the USA you need to consult a physician regarding meds. As far as experimental treatments you would need to contact a research hospital that is doing ADHD studies.

I also had trouble with both of those. Super intense response, extreme irritation, fatique, jitters. I saw a doctor yesterday who is helping me fine tune Vyvanse. So many factors go into it! You will need to see another doctor regardless. I'm in northern california and have a good one if you live anywhere near me. Very difficult process. If you have any stomach issues, that could be part of how your body processes it. I've had multiple pelvic and abdominal surgeries which he think affects my absorbtion. Keep trying!
