Anxious overwhelm...again. another job bites the dust. 52 years graduated JD cum laude 30 years ago and feels like that was my last success. I thought I could work under a boss who would just tell me what to do. But she would ask "why are u doing that?" It wasn't funny, I sincerely forgot to what she said.

Following directions is definitely difficult. Have you tried keeping a notebook and pen handy to write down what is asked of you?

Wow, sorry for your loss of a job. It's definitely not easy. Have you heard of rehearsed memory techniques which may help in your case? Don't give up.
