Struggling to try and calm down some but having a heck of a time. Anybody on here struggling with the hyper part? I can't concentrate on anything more than a few seconds but can on here for minutes at a time due to the support of the great ppl on this site. Anyone know how to live with this without stimulants? In waiting to find a new Dr in utah since moving here a few weeks ago in hopes I can get a med to control it. Praying to get a stimulant cause its helped before. Thanks. Have a great day😀😀

Hi lovedogs,

I used to struggle with hyperactivity a lot. I still do from time to time, but I find that regular exercise helps a good deal. You don't need to go to the gym or anything, just getting up and moving, be it taking a walk or a bike ride, or dancing to your favorite music. As for stress relief and concentration, I would recommend meditation. There's a free app called headspace that I found was a big help for me when learning to meditate.

Hope that helps!

PS. I am currently living med-free and have been for a year and a half now. (not saying it's bad to be on meds just that it's not impossible to go without)

Thanks for your advice cause ill try anything at this point cause the ADHD effects me so bad in life and even taking care of the elderly which is not good. I'm seeing a Dr on the 10th to get medication to help. I'm that desperate! Happy Friday 😀😎

Honestly, before I read “anyone know how to live without stimulants” I was going to recommend that.

I’m 34 and I get super hyper, especially at work and especially st this time of year (when the sun is in full shine). This is my first spring taking Vyvanse and I’ve gotta say it’s done a heck of a lot for me. Even though I’m almost hyperactive to the point of hypomania, I’m still functional enough to go to work and get done what I need to get done.

Thank you! I'm glad you can deal with getting to work etc. That's great. Most days I feel like I'm not going to be able to work. Currently on disability and not working. In so scared ill never be able to work full time. Hope I can get to a point like you where I can work and function in life. Have a great day!!!
