I was diagnosed with adhd about a year ago, I struggle a lot to focus and school is becoming increasingly harder! Is there anything I can do to help focus?

Have you tried talking to a therapist? Believe it or not, the stimulant medications can work if you can work with a therapist or physician. Ask for help from your professors or teachers before you get too far behind. When ADD people get to far behind we will tend to give up or quit. Then we spend most of the time putting ourselves down and beating ourselves up about it.

Missi2009- sorry to hear you are struggling. Maybe start with the resource department at your school. There are usually teachers or counselors that can help you figure out how to get some help, either through the school, or outside the school. If one of your parents is available, have them talk to a resource counselor as well. With the right support, you will be able to succeed in school. Most important, don't wait. Talk to someone, either your counselor or a resource teacher/counselor as soon as you can, so you can get some support & build up some confidence & self esteem.
