Misdiagnosed with bipolar for 46 years. Found out two years ago I’m ADHD. ADHD meds work much better. The bipolar drugs ruined my career and life. But feeling MUCH better now. Am feeling thankful and grateful, nonetheless.

Welcome to the community! So glad you finally got the correct diagnosis!

Interesting! The person I have been dating recently wondered if he may be bi-polar, after I had originally mentioned thinking he may be adhd. What about the bi-polar drugs ruined everything?? I'm hoping he sees a doctor and gets evaluated for either or both...

Over time, the bipolar drugs impaired my long-term and short term memory and decreased my mental clarity. They were the OPPOSITE of what I needed. After changing to ADHD meds, my memory became digital in clarity and my short term and long term memory were completely restored. My memories cycle naturally (for the first time in my life!) so I don’t have to write everything down. Life is much more enjoyable and productive now. It’s really a new beginning for me!
